About this course
Saraswati Coaching Classes runs HSC Science classes for 11th and 12th students at six branches in Mumbai's western suburbs. We teach Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology for the Maharashtra Board exam, with MHT-CET preparation alongside. We have been teaching in Mumbai since 1991, and in 2024–25 our student Sahil Phad scored 99.71% in HSC Science. Science in 11th and 12th is a big jump from Class 10. There are more formulas, longer derivations, practicals, and an entrance exam waiting right after the boards. Our classes help you handle all of it with one plan, so you are not preparing for two exams in two different ways.

Two Ways to Study: Regular and Summer Batches
Regular batch
The regular batch starts in the first week of December. Classes run every day, including Sundays and holidays, for 3 to 4 hours. This steady routine takes you through the full syllabus, revision and test series.
Summer intensive batch
From 15 April to 31 May, we run a 6-hour daily batch in the morning or evening. Most students have a long break before college starts. Using those six weeks well means you walk into the new year with a big part of the syllabus already done, and a lot less pressure.
Subjects and the HSC Board Paper
In the Maharashtra HSC Science exam, Physics, Chemistry and Biology each have a 70-mark written paper and 30 marks for practicals. Mathematics and Statistics has an 80-mark written paper and 20 internal marks. You need at least 35% in each subject to pass. Here is what we teach and where we put our focus.

HSC Board and MHT-CET Together
Good news first: MHT-CET is based on the same Maharashtra Class 11 and 12 syllabus you study for your boards. So every chapter we teach counts twice.
What is different is the way you are tested. The board exam asks you to write full answers. MHT-CET asks you to pick the right answer quickly, on a computer. So after we finish a chapter for the board, we practise it again as CET-style MCQs, against the clock.

Notice that Class 11 topics are part of the CET too. That is one more reason to take 11th seriously from day one.

How We Teach Science
Every chapter goes through the same five steps:
- Understand. The teacher explains the concept in simple words, with examples and diagrams, before any formula.
- Solve. Numericals and problems are worked out step by step in class, so you see exactly how marks are earned.
- Practise. You solve board questions and CET-style MCQs from our own study material.
- Test. A chapter test checks what has really stuck.
- Review. Papers are checked and discussed. Doubts are cleared and weak topics are taught again.
Closer to the exams, you move on to major tests, full board-pattern papers and timed CET practice tests.
PCM or PCB: Which One Is Right for You?
Choose PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) if you want to study engineering or other courses that need Maths.
Choose PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) if you are aiming for medicine, pharmacy, or life sciences.
Take all four (PCMB) if you have not decided yet. It is more work, but it keeps both doors open. Our teachers are happy to talk it through with you and your parents before you choose.

Who Teaches You
Saraswati Coaching Classes was started in 1991 by Ajit Kadam with just 12 students. He still leads the classes as founder and principal, with a team of more than 200 teachers and staff. Our Science teachers are subject specialists, and each one teaches only their own subject.
When Should You Join?
The best time to join is before 11th begins, in the summer batch or the regular batch. Starting early gives you time to build strong basics for both the board exam and MHT-CET.

What does the 11th and 12th Science course at Saraswati include?

Can I choose PCM or PCB?
Yes. Students who want engineering usually take PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths). Students aiming for medicine or pharmacy usually take PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology). Some take all four subjects (PCMB) to keep both options open.
Where are Saraswati's Science classes in Mumbai?

What are the fees for 11th and 12th Science classes?
Fees depend on the branch, the subjects you choose (PCM, PCB or PCMB) and the batch. Please call the head office on 9819331960, or visit your nearest branch, for the 2026–27 fee structure.
When are the HSC and MHT-CET exams in 2027?
HSC 2027 written exams run from 8 February to 16 March 2027, with practicals from 20 January to 6 February. Reports say the first MHT-CET 2027 attempt may be held between mid-December 2026 and mid-January 2027. Check the State CET Cell for final dates.
Can I manage the board exam and MHT-CET together?
Yes, if you start early and study steadily. Most CET questions come from the same chapters as your board syllabus. The hard part is speed, so regular timed MCQ practice from 11th onwards makes a big difference.
