About this course
Saraswati Coaching Classes runs SSC board classes for 10th standard students at six branches in Mumbai's western suburbs. Our S.P. (Saraswati Pattern) batch covers every subject in the Maharashtra Board syllabus, with daily classes and regular tests. We have been teaching SSC students since 1991, and our students have been merit rankers since 1997. Class 10 is the first board exam your child will face, and it can feel like a lot for the whole family. Our job is to make it manageable. Your child gets one timetable, the same teachers all year, and tests that show where they stand long before the real paper.

What Is the S.P. (Saraswati Pattern) Batch?
The S.P. batch is our main course for Class 10. "S.P." stands for Saraswati Pattern, the way of teaching we have built up over more than 30 years of SSC coaching.
Here is how it works:
- One batch covers all subjects, so your child does not need separate tuition for maths, science or languages.
- Every chapter is taught, practised and then tested before the class moves on.
- Revision is built into the timetable from the start.
- Students learn to write answers the way board examiners want to see them.
Classes run every day, including Sundays and holidays, for 3 to 4 hours. That steady routine matters. Children who study a little every day usually walk into the exam hall much calmer than those who cram at the end.
Subjects Covered in Our 10th Std Classes
In the Maharashtra SSC exam, most subjects have an 80-mark written paper and 20 marks for internal assessment, orals or practicals. Maths and Science are each split into two written papers of 40 marks. Here is what we teach and what we focus on.

How We Teach Class 10
Every chapter goes through the same five steps:
- Teach. The teacher explains the chapter in simple language, using the textbook and real examples.
- Clear doubts. Batches are small, so every student can ask questions, and teachers notice the quiet ones too.
- Practise. Students solve questions from our own study material and from past board papers.
- Test. A short test at the end of the chapter checks what has really been understood.
- Review. Papers are checked and discussed. Weak topics are taught again before the class moves ahead.
Closer to the exam, students move on to major tests and full 3-hour papers in the board pattern. By exam day, sitting a board paper feels familiar.

Who Teaches Your Child
Saraswati Coaching Classes was started in 1991 by Ajit Kadam with just 12 students. He still leads the classes as founder and principal, with a team of more than 200 teachers and staff. Our SSC teachers are subject specialists. Each one teaches only their own subject, year after year.
When Should Your Child Join?
The best time to join is when a new S.P. batch starts on 15 November. Starting on day one means your child follows the full plan: syllabus, revision and the complete test series.

SSC Board Exam 2027: Key Dates
The Maharashtra Board has announced these dates for the SSC 2027 exam:
- Practicals, orals and internal assessments: 28 January to 13 February 2027
- Written board exams: 15 February to 11 March 2027

After Class 10
Once the SSC exam is over, the next big choice is Science or Commerce. Saraswati also runs 11th and 12th classes for both streams, at the same branches.

Where are Saraswati's SSC classes in Mumbai?

How will I know how my child is doing?

Is coaching really needed for the 10th board exam?
Not for every student. Many children do well with good school teaching and steady self-study. Coaching helps most when a child needs a fixed routine, more practice papers, or extra help in one or two subjects. If you are unsure, visit a branch and talk to us first.
